Hey there! I'm Heather, the heart and soul behind Heather's Photography Company, nestled in the delightful town of Kernersville, North Carolina. When I'm not capturing magical moments through my lens, I'm at home with my amazing husband and our energetic 5-year-old, soaking up the simple joys of life.
My creative journey kicked off with a bang at UNCSA, where I snagged a BFA in Theatrical Scenic Painting in 2014. That place was my artistic playground, and it set me on a whirlwind tour across the country, painting backdrops, props, and sets for some pretty cool theatrical gigs—think Skrillex's Halloween tour! After nearly a year of traveling, I settled back in North Carolina, where I took on the exciting challenge of painting the entire set for The Prop Shop at the Kalideum Children's Museum in Winston-Salem and also crafted some vibrant murals for various clients.
As my love for photography grew, I started offering family photography services in 2014. Balancing this with my painting projects was a blast, and I quickly fell head over heels for capturing life's precious moments. From engagements and weddings to newborns and pets, each shot is a chance to freeze time and celebrate the beauty of life.
One of the most exciting turns in my career was diving into wedding photography. Within my first year, I had the honor of capturing 98 weddings, and this pivot has really helped my business bloom.
Lately, I’ve also ventured into Real Estate Photography. With my scenic painting background, I bring a unique flair to showcasing homes. Partnering with over 30 real estate agents across North Carolina has been fantastic, and I’m eager to team up with even more!
What gets me most excited about my work is the chance to freeze special moments—whether it's the joy of a family gathering or the elegance of a home. I’m thrilled to be part of these stories and can’t wait to see what creative adventures each new project will bring!
